ACUSTONES – Application of Stones on Acupoints

According to the Han Dynasty alchemist, Ge Hong, stones contain the most permanent healing of all modalities of Chinese Medicine. When properly activated, these stones can provide a very profound aspect of healing to an individual. In this workshop, we will explore the energetics of the stones and their application on specific categories of acupoints (including mu-collection, shu-transport, xi-cleft, yuan-source, etc.) and certain acupoints that have strong resonance with particular stones. Saturday & Sunday, September 16th-17th, 2006 $250 before September 1st; $300 thereafter

FU KE – CHINESE MEDICAL GYNECOLOGY (An Acupuncturist Perspective)
Fu Ke/Chinese Medical Gynecology, as a specialty, was developed primarily during the Song Dynasty by the Imperial Medical Academy. Until the influence of its patriarch, Chen Zi-Ming, fu ke has evolved into a very sophisticated system of understanding female health. This workshop will cover all aspects of fu ke, including menstruation, infertility, leukorrhea, conglomerations and concretions (i.e., fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, etc.), and pelvic inflammatory diseases. Saturday & Sunday, October 14th-15th, 2006 $250 before September 29th; $300 thereafter

CHINESE ABDOMINAL & TONGUE DIAGNOSES
An indepth discussion on the different aspects of tongue and abdominal diagnoses. Utilizing the approach from the Wen Bing tradition for the tongue and the Nan Jing tradition for the abdomen, participants will learn how to better diagnose and reconcile other diagnostic findings based on these two aspects. In addition, the workshop will explore how these findings can infer certain treatment principle/plan and selection of acupuncture points/herbs. Saturday & Sunday, November 4th-5th, 2006 $250 before October 20th; $300 thereafter

INTERPRETING WESTERN LABORATORY BLOOD TESTS
(Based on Chinese Medicine)
An examination of Western laboratory blood tests and their inferences from a Chinese Medical perspective. More importantly, correlations will also be made in comparing different blood measures. Treatment strategies will be presented and discussion of why certain ranges may not be accurate indicators of certain conditions/diseases. Saturday & Sunday, December 9th-10th, 2006 $250 before November 24th; $300 thereafter

All classes will be held from 10 AM – 5 PM at Chinatown Wellness Center, LLC., located at 52 Walker Street, 2nd Floor, New York City. Please pre-register to ensure space in the class.
