ONE-YEAR PROGRAM:
HEALINGWITH GEMS & STONES
(A Chinese Medical Perspective)
with Jeffrey C. Yuen
Stones and gems have historically been a major component of Chinese Medicine with
Their properties being described and outlined in the major materia medicas (ben cao). In
these texts, stones are considered living evolving entities. More importantly, their
density and solidity represent greater permanence in healing and the stabilization of
energetic intentions and therapies. They can also serve as chelating agent to draw out
toxins from the body-mind-spirit continuum. In addition, the application of stones on
acupoints or as jewelry can promote certain healing vibrations and draw positive
influences or repel negative factors.
This one-year program, which meets one weekend a month for a total of eight months,
will examine the healing properties, structure, color, and application of stones
and gems. Topics covered will include elixirs, cleansing & recharging stones, acupoint
applications, heated or moxa stones, home/office displacement, ancient & "new" stones,
crystal designs, and light interaction.
