This program offers the basic training for acupuncturists wishing to study Chinese herbal medicine for professional use.Upon fulfillment of this 2 – Year Program (280 hours) that meets one weekend a month (10 weekends/year), participants will receive a certificate of completion.The focus of the program is to train those already familiar with the theories of Oriental Medicine into a detailed “how-to” approach to Chinese medicinal herbs – explored from classical and modern perspectives.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jeffrey C. Yuen comes directly from a Daoist lineage and trained under the Daoist priest Yu Wen, learning among other healing arts – Chinese herbal medicine.Jeffrey was invited by the NCCAOM to be among a group of prominent practitioners to write and review questions during the development of the NCCAOM herbal exam and served on their Finalization Committee.Mr. Yuen is a Diplomate of Chinese Herbal Medicine from the NCCAOM.In 1995, Jeffrey was the recipient of the 1st Oriental Medicine Educator of the Year Award presented by the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM).He serves as the Dean for Academic Affairs at the Swedish Institute School of Acupuncture & Oriental Studies.In addition, he is on the Board of Advisors for the New England Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and considered one of the pioneers of integrating the use of essential oils on acupuncture points.Mr. Yuen was also the first non-physician to be approved by the AMA to confer CMEUs to physicians training in acupuncture.Jeffrey lectures frequently to state and national acupuncture associations and colleges, hospitals, and medical school.
